Formatting Guidelines and Technical Paper Template – Word 2007
The Slope Stability 2011 abstract submission phase is now complete and corresponding authors have been advised of their submission’s acceptance by e-mail. Over 185 abstracts were received and 150 were selected to move on to the technical paper submission phase. The titles and corresponding authors of accepted abstracts will be posted at www.slopestability2011.ca/accepted-abstracts.php?lang=en.
Complete technical papers must be submitted by April 30, 2011 using the online submission feature of this website available at www.slopestability2011.ca/abstract-submission.php?lang=en. Corresponding authors will be required to register as a delegate for the conference before they can submit their paper(s) – the online delegate registration and payment system will be functional by March 15.
The Author's Release, Declaration and Understanding has been incorporated into the online submission process – all corresponding authors must select “Yes” in the Copyright Permission field or the paper will not be uploaded to the site.
The Slope Stability 2011 Technical Committee will review all papers for clarity, technical merit and relevance to the conference. Our goal is to inform corresponding authors of their paper’s acceptance by May 31, 2011 and possibly before. In cases where the reviewing team feels revisions are necessary, comments will be provided with revised final papers being due by the end of June, 2011.
All accepted papers will appear in the published proceedings of the conference – conference registrants will receive a digital version as part of their delegate registration.
To help authors ensure their paper meets the conference’s presentation requirements, we have prepared formatting guidelines as a technical paper template. All authors must follow these guidelines to help ensure presentation uniformity in the conference proceedings. Please take particular note of the page and abstract word count limits. MS Word Technical Paper Template files have been developed for the use of all authors – submissions that do not follow the prescribed formatting guidelines will be returned.
Final decisions regarding the assigned session for submitted papers and presentation format will rest with the Technical Committee. Questions regarding the paper review process, sessions and the technical program should be directed to the Slope Stability 2011 Technical Committee contacts:
